Evaluation of Employment Programming for Youth in Los Angeles

YP2F is actively engaged in two significant evaluation projects that further its research initiatives. The first involves assessing the Youth Academy program at the LGBT Center, which offers various tracks including social services, culinary arts, and employment support for LGBTQ+ youth. Through exit interviews with participants and staff, YP2F aims to understand the program's impact, challenges, and areas for improvement. Simultaneously, YP2F is collaborating with USC's Dr. Eric Rice and REDF on an evaluation project focused on employment social enterprises (ESE). This project seeks to identify key components of a supportive programming model for young adults, with YP2F leading data collection efforts. The study encompasses both qualitative and quantitative data from 4-6 program partners, serving approximately 300 young people annually. These evaluations collectively contribute to YP2F's mission of supporting and empowering at-risk youth through evidence-based practices and program improvements.
